 IP Conversion Update #3 Extension of Deadline to March 1st

{Note:  Please see enclosed file for more detailed information.}

Many of you have already converted several segments of your data communications to IP by our earlier December 14th deadline. And for those who could not, you have kept us updated on a regular basis, which we sincerely appreciate!

We have just been informed that additional time is being offered to complete the conversion as we prepare our new disaster recovery site. The revised deadline is now Friday, March 1, 2002.  Because of the many facets of the migration, we ask that you and your IT staff review this memo and attachment  carefully, once again, and make sure that you understand the impact to your operation.

We now expect to disconnect our 3745 controllers in March, upon successful completion of the conversion.

If you have not yet converted to IP, submit the information identified in Sections I and II of this memo  to Client Management, as soon as possible. Please pay particular attention to the following information:

  • New RPS.DATA dataset name for Reportable data files via FTP
  • New production MQM IP address: 198.212.155.249
  • AS/400 users must ensure that their print queue is set to allow a record length of 133 characters.

RJE Traffic Change -- Important Reminder

As a reminder, all RJE traffic must be converted to FTP and/or MQM by our revised conversion deadline of March 1, 2002. All batch files we currently send to you via RJE will become FTP GETS. For GUS files, however, there will be 3 options: GUS files -- 1) FTP, 2) GUS-MQM, and 3) GUS RJE format sent via MQM. For APS files, there will be 2 options: 1)FTP and 2) APS RJE format sent via MQM. A separate memo will be sent shortly detailing the new option of RJE format via MQM.
